General Litter Information

We are a small kennel that only produces limited number of litters. In some instances, there will be as much as a couple of years between each litter. Having litters is a big responsibility and we carefully plan for each of them. We have strong convictions about health clearances and each parent will have; DNA certification, hips and elbows OFA certified, a recent eye clearance performed by a certified canine ophthalmologist, and various other genetic tests. It is also our primary goal to have all our puppies represent the breed standards and parent selection is profoundly important.

Between 7 - 8 weeks of age the litter is evaluated for structure/movement (as outlined in the breed standard) and for temperaments. It is as this point we select the proper homes that align with the puppy. We want every puppy to end up in the right home. If this process is troubling you may want to explore other breeds that have a different process.

If you are interested in a puppy, please request a Puppy Questionnaire. This helps us determine the perfect fit dog for you and your family. Please write to:

AKC considers Breeders of Merit to be most conscientious and most committed breeders.

The Whelping Box Room

All of our litters are born and raised in our home. This allows for maximum comfort and oversight for mom and puppies. This also provides many opportunities for socialization and early neurological stimulation.
